The 400+ miles of non-motorized trails in Sedona’s Red Rock Country aren’t just a public treasure—they’re a gift made possible by generous donors, caring businesses, and community partners. These trails welcome over 3 million visitors each year, offering unforgettable access to Sedona’s natural beauty. But maintaining them—amid erosion, weather, and heavy use—costs nearly $1 million annually. Federal funds cover only 8%. The rest?
It comes from people who care. With reduced Forest Service funding, our trail system survives only because of private donations. The Sedona Red Rock Trail Fund exists to ensure this gift remains open and thriving for all.

SRRTF Leadership Changes
During its upcoming board meeting on June 17th, Kevin Adams (shown below) will step down as president of the Sedona Red Rock Trail Fund (SRRTF), and Dick Williams (shown above) is expected to be elected by the board to replace Kevin.
Counting boots on the Sedona area trails
An intensive trail census has just been completed for the Red Rock Ranger District. Since the last survey in 2015, trail use has increased more than 27% to approximately 2.2 million users yearly – including hikers, bikers, and equestrians.
Westerners raise a record $37,110 for the trails!
The Sedona Westerners Hiking Club raised a record-breaking $37,000 in 2024 for the Sedona Red Rock Trail Fund (SRRTF).
